Mona Juul elected chairman of The Conservative People’s Party
Mona Juul has been elected as the new chair of The Conservative People’s Party, succeeding the late Søren Pape Poulsen. The election took place during an extraordinary party council in Herning. As expected, Juul had no opposing candidates. She reflects on the tragic passing of Poulsen, who died unexpectedly from a brain hemorrhage on March 2. Juul shares her grief and the challenge of moving forward, acknowledging the pain felt by party members who deeply respected Poulsen. Juul announced her commitment to three core principles: prioritizing family as the key community, ensuring financial responsibility by spending only what has been earned, and addressing issues with immediate political solutions over long-term discussions. She emphasizes her focus on the essentials – family, defense, and climate – while shunning flashy media stunts for nuanced solutions.
