Union puzzled by Moderates party layoffs
Djøf union’s CEO, Tomas Therkildsen, criticizes the Moderates Party’s dismissal of several employees, following an internal letter suggesting lost trust in the political department’s staff. The firings were immediate, with at least three confirmed layoffs. Previously, complaints were raised about bullying and sexism in the party’s secretariat. After a crisis discussion led by chairman Lars Løkke Rasmussen, an industrial psychologist was appointed to review the situation. MP Jeppe Søe left the party due to disagreement over issue management. The number of staff accepting a severance agreement or total layoffs since remains unknown. Party support has fallen to 5.1% from 9.3% in the last elections.
