Denmark to boost mental health in Ukraine
Ukraine and Denmark have entered a new agreement to support Ukraine’s healthcare system and its path to EU membership during its conflict with Russia. Ukrainian Health Minister Viktor Liashko and Danish Interior and Health Minister Sophie Løhde have signed a deal to strengthen cooperation in the Ukrainian health sector. The agreement includes helping Ukraine regulate the development and management of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment in accordance with EU regulations, laying the groundwork for potential EU membership. Denmark will also share its experience in combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and intends to support collaborations between Danish and Ukrainian hospitals through development assistance funds. Furthermore, Denmark is set to aid Ukraine in reinforcing its population’s mental health.
