Børsen: Sydbank buys a bank that never succeeded

Sydbank is acquiring Coop Bank. Why? Because, says the bank’s CEO, Karen Frøsig, Coop Bank can teach Sydbank something about running a simple bank. If simplicity was what Karen Frøsig wanted, it’s unlikely she would allow Coop Bank to continue with a promise of no layoffs, with the same organization and at the same address in Albertslund rather than in Aabenraa.
