Danish exports rebound in February

After a notable decline in January, Danish export companies appear to be recovering, with a 3.7% growth in exported goods and services compared to January, according to Denmark’s Statistics. Looking back three months, exports have grown 2.2% over the previous quarter. The service sector, including consultancy, financial services, and transportation, surged by 9.5%, while the goods exports marginally increased by 0.2%. Kristian Skriver from Dansk Erhverv highlights the diversification in goods exports, such as foodstuffs, machinery, and vehicles, contributing to a healthier Danish economy. Despite challenges in traditional markets like Germany, the UK, and Sweden, Confederation of Danish Industry anticipates a brighter future, with improved foreign growth, more purchasing power, and the prospect of lower interest rates. The export industry supports nearly a million jobs in Denmark, as estimated by the Confederation of Danish Industry.
