Danish project aids Ukrainian war victims

On the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, a new form of Danish assistance is underway. Danish Minister of Industry, Morten Bødskov, will introduce a collaboration between a Danish company and the Danish Export and Investment Fund (Eifo), to provide leg prostheses to Ukraine. The prostheses, valued at 1.5 million Danish kroner, could aid up to 100 Ukrainian war victims. The company Levitate is manufacturing the leg prostheses, which are expected to be delivered in the coming weeks. The project is facilitated by Eifo, which offers ‘risk-willing state financing’ for projects and has a loan and guarantee scheme for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Eifo also secured a government guarantee of 2.85 billion kroner in January for the establishment of a new wind farm by Danish Vestas and a Ukrainian company, with the potential to power 700,000 households in Ukraine.
