Moderates hit record low post-election

The Moderate Party in Denmark has dropped to 3.4% in the latest Voxmeter poll, the lowest since securing 9.3% of votes in the November 2022 election. This reflects a 1.7 percentage point decrease within a month. The decline coincides with internal conflicts, including resignations and terminations within the party’s secretariat due to a toxic work environment. Recent measures include a deal with the Djøf union to provide additional severance to two dismissed employees, and rehiring one. The Danish Working Environment Authority also issued an order to the party. Despite challenges, political spokesperson Monika Rubin anticipates a recovery once the work environment improves and political dialogue is refocused.
