Netcompany wins bid for new NemKonto system
The Danish Digitalization Agency has chosen Netcompany to develop, manage, and support the new NemKonto system, as stated in a press release. The company is tasked with building the system from scratch, maintaining the current system’s function of handling public payments since 2005. Authorities anticipate no changes for citizens with the new system. Among three bids received in the fall, Netcompany’s offer was selected for the best price-quality ratio. The contract lasts for eight years with an extension option. Netcompany, with its platform technology already integral to critical infrastructure in Denmark and Europe, aims to deliver a robust and modern financial infrastructure reflecting the evolving threat landscape, expressed partner Thomas Koefoed. The existing system by KMD also includes support, while the new system is expected to ensure secure and stable financial transactions for citizens, companies, and associations against increasingly complex threats. Netcompany is also known for Aula, Mit.dk, and Sundhed.dk in Denmark.
