Queen Margrethe out for months after fall

Queen Margrethe was discharged from Rigshospitalet on Friday following a fall at her residence Wednesday evening. The fall requires her to wear a neck brace for a few months, and her left hand is in a cast. Although she is in good condition following the incident, she will be on sick leave for an extended period, leading to the cancellation of her participation in several events. Back at her home, Fredensborg Castle, Queen Margrethe, though abdicated in January, still performs official duties. Recently, the 84-year-old attended a sclerosis conference and presented an award at Rungstedlund. Her son, Prince Frederik, who hasn’t visited her in the hospital due to traveling, stated she was in good spirits and well-treated. Queen Mary serves as regent during the weekend.
