Hamas confirms Yahya Sinwar killed
Hamas has announced the death of its leader, Yahya Sinwar, killed by Israeli soldiers in Rafah, Gaza. Israeli military claimed he was eliminated while trying to flee. Sinwar, previously appointed supreme leader, succeeded Ismail Haniyeh who died in a Tehran bombing. Israel accuses Sinwar of planning an October attack with 1200 dead and hostages still held. The incident sparked a war in Gaza with numerous Palestinian deaths. Israel vows to continue the conflict until all hostages are freed.
