Report: Ethnic bullying in Danish schools
According to a new report by Danish Institute for Human Rights and Børns Vilkår a significant number of children have either been bullied over their ethnicity in Danish public schools or have witnessed it happening to others. The study found that 51% of minority ethnic students have experienced bullying related to their religion, skin color, nationality, or culture. A child is considered minority ethnic in the research if at least one parent was born outside Denmark. Louise Holck, director of the Institute for Human Rights, emphasized the crucial need for schools to protect students from bullying and discrimination that could severely affect their well-being and futures. The survey included 1,568 students and indicated that more than half of the participants, regardless of their background, have observed ethnicity-based bullying among their peers.
