School head declines answer on children’s fate

Køge Municipality’s Lars Nedergaard, head of day care and schools, acknowledged awareness of three serious incidents at Borup School involving seven to ten children. Despite being in touch with those involved and implementing measures for individual students, families, and the school, Nedergaard refrained from discussing specifics. Media reported that young students faced boundary-breaking behavior, including violence and severe sexual violations. Parents, after a closed meeting with officials, expressed frustration over the lack of clarity on actions regarding the offenders. Nedergaard avoided detailing consequences for these children but mentioned ongoing dialogue and plans for progress. Psychological support will be offered to all Borup School students, with external help if needed. Nedergaard admits that the municipality’s communication could have been better.
