New Right youth wing disbands
The party’s New Righ youth wing, Nye Borgerliges Ungdom, dissolved itself on Sunday, as confirmed by former chairman Tenna Røberg. This move came after the party’s parliamentary group ceased to exist when party founder Pernille Vermund left on January 10th. Røberg highlighted the struggle to maintain a political presence without the Christianborg platform and expressed doubts about their future in cross-political work. The decision was made through a vote at two of the youth party’s meetings and following the dissolution, Røberg also quit the New Right. The fate of the main party will be decided on April 16th, during an extraordinary meeting. Peter Seier, a member of the party, has been on sick leave since April 2023 and will not reconstitute a parliamentary group until he recovers.
