Biogas firm directors exit amid internal battle

A power struggle at BioCirc led to the resignation of Chairman Michael Haaning and two DLG board members. The discord, disclosed through a press release after media coverage, arose from intentions to fire CEO Bertel Maigaard over differing leadership views. Despite threats of dismissal for his alleged autocratic style, Maigaard remains CEO and contends with the prospect of opposing board members being voted out at a special general meeting. DLG withdrew their members, citing loss of trust. To address discontent among staff, a leadership coach will be engaged. BioCirc, a major biogas producer established in 2021, has secured substantial funding for future disbursement from the Danish Energy Agency.
