Stolen phones at Danish festival found in Romania

Phones stolen from guests at the Copenhell festival in Copenhagen in 2023 have turned up in Romania nearly two years later. Danish police announced on Wednesday that 45 mobile phones were recovered by Romanian police and handed over through the Romanian embassy. A collaborative effort between Danish and Romanian authorities led to the identification of the phones, which had been taken from festival attendees. The majority of the owners have been located and will be contacted to retrieve their phones. The investigation into the stolen phones is ongoing in Romania. Copenhell, where about 38,000 guests attended in 2023 from June 14 to 17, features metal and rock acts and takes place on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen.
