Influencer sentenced for endorsing terror
Influencer Ahmad Elchaabi has been sentenced to four months in prison after sharing a video on Snapchat about the Hamas attack in Israel on October 7, 2023. Elchaabi, with over 80,000 followers, is convicted of endorsing terror based on the penal code. However, he won’t serve time in prison but will instead complete 100 hours of community service, as decided by the Copenhagen City Court. Statements like ‘There are still people down there who haven’t been split open. But 250 pieces, that’s not too bad,’ referring to the attack at the Supernova music festival where at least 250 attendees were killed, led the Public Prosecutor in Copenhagen to press charges.
