Maersk and DSV in final bids for German giant

Danish companies Maersk and DSV are reportedly among the final four candidates in the running to acquire German logistics giant DB Schenker, according to sources familiar with the matter. Reuters references three unnamed sources, who also mention Saudi Arabia’s national shipping company, Bahri, and a consortium of private equity firms, including CVC, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and GIC from Singapore. Deutsche Bahn, the current owner of DB Schenker, has reportedly selected these four potential buyers for the next bidding phase. Bids are believed to exceed 15 billion euros, though some are estimated to be between 13 and 14 billion euros. Deutsche Bahn is aiming to collect final offers by July. Parties involved, including Maersk, DSV, CVC, Adia, and GIC, have declined to comment on the information.
