Scandic Hotel Continues Operations After Murder

Scandic Hotel in Sydhavnen, Copenhagen, continues to operate after a murder occurred on its premises early Tuesday morning. District chief Ole Høgh stated that supporting guests and staff is their focus and that they prioritize safety and security with established cooperation routines with relevant authorities. Affected individuals are offered professional crisis support, with a psychologist on site. A man reported to the police at 2:51 AM claiming to have killed someone at the hotel. A 33-year-old Danish man was arrested and charged with the murder of the 42-year-old foreign victim. The Copenhagen Police are still investigating at the scene. The hotel, featuring five floors, 391 rooms, and 21 meeting rooms, remains open without requiring guests to relocate.
