Foreign minister Lars Løkke reflects on political journey

Lars Løkke Rasmussen, with nearly 40 years in politics, expressed in a new audiobook ‘Befrielsens pris’ that he does not feel he has paid a high price despite numerous controversies. As the foreign minister and leader of the Moderates, he shared his reluctance to engage in discussions about the hardships of political life, including harassment and threats. Løkke emphasized that the joys of his political career outweigh the sorrows and believes there is wider support for politicians in Danish society than public debates suggest. He considers his long-standing political involvement, dating back to his election to the student council in 5th grade, a great privilege. The audiobook was narrated to author Kirsten Jacobsen.
