Queen Mary struck by scooter in Nuuk

Queen Mary of Denmark was accidentally hit by a scooter during her visit to Greenland on Friday, but she was not injured. The incident occurred when an individual tried to shake her hand but accidentally accelerated their electric handicap scooter. The event was captured on video where the scooter can be seen colliding with the queen, who managed to remain upright though looked shaken. A security guard from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) reacted swiftly to create a distance between the queen and the scooter. Nobody was injured, including the scooter driver. The royal couple’s official visit to Greenland, which started on Saturday, will conclude the following Saturday. While in Nuuk, the royal agenda included a visit to a daycare where Queen Mary’s Foundation’s anti-bullying program is being implemented.
