Government’s political deals fail to lift polls
Despite finalizing several major political agreements, the government continues to experience a decline in polls. The latest survey by Voxmeter for Ritzau shows the government would receive 32.4% of the vote if elections were held tomorrow, marking the lowest level since the November 2022 parliamentary election. The government’s significant deals include a health reform and a green tripartite agreement. However, they are currently projected to hold only 58 seats, a stark drop from the 89 seats following the November election. The Social Democrats remain the largest party with 18.5% support, while the Denmark Democrats see a rise to 11.7%. The classic ‘red block’ coalition is set to achieve exactly 50.1% of the votes, mirroring the combined electorate backing after the last election. The ‘blue block’ stands at 44.2%.
