Denmark donates $117M for Ukraine’s arms

Denmark has prepared its 20th donation package for Ukraine, amounting to nearly 800 million Danish kroner (approx. $117 million), earmarked for purchasing new military equipment. This decision follows a meeting of the Foreign Policy Committee, where Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen highlighted the importance of continuing support for Ukraine’s defense needs. Specific details of the package remain undisclosed for operational and security reasons. The funds are sourced from Ukraine Fund, with an allocation of nearly 65 billion kroner between 2023-2028 to support Ukraine’s military efforts, out of which over 46 billion kroner have already been designated for donations and investments. Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen underscored Denmark’s significant role in assisting Ukraine against Russia’s aggression.
