Claims against Nordic Waste grow to 406 million DKK
Creditors’ claims against the bankrupt soil remediation company Nordic Waste have more than doubled to 406 million Danish kroner. The latest creditor statement, accessed by daily Berlingske, doesn’t specify individual claims but indicates creditors are unlikely to recover much money. The estate’s free assets are valued at just over 850,000 kroner. Nordic Waste collapsed on January 22 after a landslide threatened the nearby village of Ølst and Alling Å’s wildlife. Curators managing the bankruptcy are considering compensation claims against the company’s advisors, as reported by Børsen. They are also scrutinizing former CEO Lene Lange and considering claims against the ultimate owners, Torben Østergaard Nielsen and his daughters.
