Hamas exits talks, to return Tuesday

A Hamas delegation left Cairo on Sunday amidst ceasefire negotiations regarding the Gaza Strip, returning to Doha with plans to resume talks on Tuesday, says an informed source to Al-Qahera News. Over the weekend, large crowds in Tel Aviv demanded a deal to bring hostages home from Gaza. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu insists that any ceasefire must include the release of hostages held by Hamas, while Hamas rejects any deal that doesn’t end the war in Palestinian territory. Netanyahu accuses Hamas of maintaining a hardline stance, and an unnamed source criticizes Israel for seeking a hostage deal that doesn’t end aggression against Gaza. Currently, Hamas is holding 128 hostages, with at least 34 presumed dead, according to the BBC. Additionally, CIA Director William Burns is reportedly traveling to Doha for an urgent meeting with the Qatari Prime Minister to push for continued negotiations.
