Norwegian extends Tel Aviv flight cancellations

Norwegian Air has extended the cancellation of flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel, until the upcoming winter season due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Initially, flights were suspended until October 24th, 2023, but as the situation remains unstable, the company has decided it is still unsafe to operate flights to the region. Following the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7th, flight cancellations were extended multiple times, lastly until the end of winter. In January, communications chief Sara Westphal Emborg Neergaard emphasized the safety of passengers as a priority before resuming flights. The heightened tensions in Israel have led other European and American airlines to either halt or significantly reduce flights to Tel Aviv. Norwegian plans to reallocate the aircraft to other routes to increase capacity elsewhere.
