Herlufsholm students deny assault charges
Five teenage boys from Herlufsholm boarding school deny charges of violence and illegal coercion against two younger boys. They are accused of inflicting ‘dead arms’ and ‘charley horses,’ and of forcing the younger students to eat chips touched by genitalia. In court, an accused student claimed the chip incident was feigned and the younger boys were not coerced. During a game called ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,’ questions from the school’s handbook were asked, and incorrect answers were met with ‘dead arms.’ The accused stated that the hits were not hard, describing them as taps. The trial began Monday with a verdict expected by Friday.
