Opposition slams government’s solo act on digital plan

The entire opposition criticizes the government for unilaterally allocating millions from an agreement on Denmark’s digital strategy. The agreement from February involved an AI strategy, with 61 million kroner earmarked for 2024-2027. Though the implementation was to be discussed later in 2024, the government has proceeded independently. This action has been condemned by opposition party spokespeople, who were excluded from a presentation by the Digitalization Minister Caroline Stage and Finance Minister Nicolai Wammen. In response, Stage insists discussions occurred with the parties and aims to maintain a constructive dialogue.
