There is broad agreement that interest rates will continue to be lowered by the ECB and the National Bank. This will hurt the profits of banks. From 2022 to 2023, net interest income increased by 37 percent in Nordea, Danske Bank, and Jyske Bank, but a fall in interest rates will reverse this trend.
