No charges in Børsen building fire investigation

Copenhagen Police have concluded their investigation into the fire at the historic Børsen building on April 16 without any charges. Despite thorough efforts, officials were unable to determine the cause of the blaze that affected the 400-year-old landmark but found no signs of criminal activity. Witnesses were interviewed, and technical examinations were conducted, including on electrical installations. The iconic dragon spire of the building collapsed during the fire. The fire was initially attributed to ongoing restoration work. Danish Industry, the owners of the Børsen, expressed relief that no criminal motive was found and are focusing on rebuilding efforts, with an upcoming report on the expected completion date.
