Denmark’s economy growth outlook improves
Arbejdernes Landsbank’s latest economic forecast significantly improves Denmark’s 2024 growth prognosis to 3.0%, up from 1.4% predicted last fall. Chief Economist Jeppe Juul Borre cites a resilient labor market and solid consumer spending as key factors. Last year ended better than expected, contributing to positive momentum. Despite economic contractions in Germany and a slowdown in the eurozone, indicators signal a nearing bottom. Employment is set to fall by 6000, an improvement over the previously expected 23,000 drop, and unemployment is projected to increase by 6200, less than the previous 8700 forecast. Housing prices are predicted to rise by 2.5%, while apartment prices may drop by three percent.
