Ukraine accused of US Missile attack on Russia

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukraine’s military fired six ATACMS missiles, supplied by the USA, at targets in Russia, marking potentially the first such attack with American missiles. The strikes were directed at the Bryansk region bordering Ukraine, just days after reports surfaced of President Biden authorizing Ukraine to use American weapons against targets inside Russia. However, the White House has not confirmed this. Following the alleged attack, President Putin approved a new nuclear doctrine allowing Russia to use nuclear weapons if attacked with conventional missiles supported by a nuclear power, implying a threat to the USA. The Russian air defense reportedly intercepted the missiles, causing no casualties but setting a military building on fire due to falling debris. Ukraine has not confirmed launching the missiles.
