Swedes arrested for murder plot recruitment
In an international police collaboration, three Swedish citizens were arrested in Alicante, Spain for allegedly recruiting youth to commit severe crimes related to gang conflicts in Sweden and Denmark. These crimes include attempted murder, preparation for murder, and serious firearms offenses, report the Swedish news agency TT, the Swedish police, and Copenhagen Police. Investigation is ongoing, with Danish police working closely with Swedish and Spanish authorities and Europol, which assisted in tracking digital evidence and coordinating intelligence. The arrests on Spain’s sunny coast led to the trio’s detention in absentia by the Solna District Court in Sweden. Police have not disclosed details about the individuals or specific incidents they are connected to. Over the past seasons, both Swedes and Danes have been arrested for serious crimes in the Danish capital region, including attempted murders and possession of guns and hand grenades. Future proceedings in the case remain unspecified.
