Pierre Collignon named new chief editor at Berlingske

Pierre Collignon is set to succeed Mette Østergaard as the chief editor of Berlingske from May 1st, following her departure to become the public affairs and communication director at the Confederation of Danish Industry. Collignon, previously the head of the Opinion section, will join Tom Jensen in leading Berlingske’s editorial team. The 51-year-old journalist has a background at Jyllands-Posten, where he was also part of the editorial board. Collignon is dedicated to providing reflected conservatism and contributing to a fact-based and honest public debate. He aims to create optimal conditions for Berlingske’s journalistic output to add meaning to society and deliver value to its readers.
