Danish school teachers should have their authority strengthened; they should be able to assign detention to children without first informing the parents, and the rules for their use of power should be tightened. This is the opinion of the Danish People’s Party, which in a new initiative has presented 10 proposals for “peace, order, and security” in public schools.
