Minister rejects Swedish gang trends in Denmark

Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard has declared firm action against the spread of Swedish gang culture in Denmark, following incidents involving Swedish teens charged with attempted murder. He emphasized the seriousness with which the government, the ministerial department, and police are addressing the issue. Hummelgaard highlighted the sick and decayed culture of hiring teens in Sweden for criminal purposes, indicating that this business model is now being attempted in Denmark. The Danish police, in coordination with Swedish authorities, are vigilant and proactive, arresting several individuals preemptively. A recently passed plan increases penalties and police tools for combating gang crime. Additional measures are being considered, including increased cooperation with Swedish police and stationing a Danish officer permanently in Sweden for intelligence collaboration. Recent events include three instances of Swedish teenagers being charged with attempted murder in Denmark.
