U.S. House backs major Ukraine aid

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a significant bill to provide Ukraine with $60 billion in military and other assistance, despite previous resistance from some Republicans. This move is part of a larger package that also includes aid for Israel and Taiwan, with a stipulation regarding the sale or ban of TikTok in the U.S. The Senate is expected to approve the package on Tuesday, allowing President Joe Biden to enact it the same day. This support is anticipated to enhance security in Europe and North America, save thousands of lives, and prevent the war from spreading, according to NATO’s Jens Stoltenberg and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyj. Much of the U.S. weapons and ammunition for Ukraine are reportedly ready for shipment from a stockpile in Rzeszor, Poland.
