FBI identifies suspect in Trump shooting
The FBI confirmed on Sunday morning that 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Berthel Park, Pennsylvania, is the suspect behind the shooting at former President Donald Trump. No political activist background or motive from the suspect has been disclosed. The incident is classified as an assassination attempt. Trump was grazed by a bullet near his right ear but is in stable condition and expected to participate in the Republican Convention on Monday, which will run from July 15th to 18th. Following the incident in Pennsylvania, Trump returned to New York to one of his private residences. The suspect was killed by the Secret Service, responsible for protecting political leaders in the U.S., after the shooting. One person was killed, and two were seriously injured during the incident.
