Countries join probe into planned assassinations in Denmark

A series of planned assassinations in Denmark and Sweden has engaged police forces from various countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, and others, as part of a special group investigating cases where young people were hired for attacks, according to Europol. Since May 1, seven arrests have been made, with three suspected of facilitating murder attempts by providing weapons and accommodations. Two 18-year-olds were arrested in Sweden, accused of recruiting others for murders in Denmark and Sweden. Arrests took place in Sweden and Morocco, with Australian police also involved. The phenomenon involves young Swedish nationals traveling to Denmark to commit murders. Europol’s special group “OFT Grimm” aims to counter this trend, while NSK warns about severe penalties for those caught attempting contract killings.
