Inappropriate Behavior Reported at Borup School

Several young students at Borup School have reportedly encountered inappropriate and boundary-crossing behavior from peers, including violence and severe sexual offenses. The incidents are being dealt with by social services as they involve minors aged 6 to 9. Skolens leder, Jakob Dalgas, announced via Aula that 3 to 6 children are involved, necessitating constant supervision. An initial rule for students to go to the toilet in pairs has been revoked due to opposition. Køge Municipality’s school and daycare head, Lars Nedergaard, confirmed the school is managing the case and addressed two similar cases in December 2022, providing support to affected children and families. After a parent meeting at Borup Library, 75 parents signed a letter to school authorities. Education Minister Mattias Tesfaye stressed the importance of safety and trust in schools. Borup School has about 600 students.
