Moderates’ secretary resigns amid workplace issues
Kirsten Munch Andersen, the party secretary for the Moderates, resigns following turmoil in the party and employee complaints of a poor working environment. Andersen states her decision to leave is voluntary despite allegations against the party leadership in the media. She is among the leaders mentioned in a complaint to the Work Environment Authority filed by secretariat employees. The authority’s review revealed a dysfunctional workplace with instances of bullying. On Monday, the party bid farewell to ten employees: three were dismissed, and seven accepted voluntary resignations, amounting to a loss of around a quarter of the secretariat staff. The union Djøf urges the Moderates to restore a healthy work environment. Recently, the party added a business psychologist to consult with employees, and Morten E. G. Brautsch has been appointed as interim party secretary for four months from October 1st.
