Netflix acquires Danish interview show concept

Netflix has approved a documentary interview program based on the Danish concept ‘Det sidste ord’ as reported by Variety. The show, to be called ‘Famous Last Words’, mirrors the original format where selected celebrities give a secret interview, to be aired posthumously. Six editions have aired in Denmark, with notable figures like Bent Fabricius-Bjerre and Ritt Bjerregaard participating. Danish journalist Mikael Bertelsen conducted the interviews. Noted writer, director, and producer Brad Falchuk will produce for Netflix through Teley-Vision, alongside Danish producer Mikkel Bondesen. Falchuk expressed enthusiasm for the unique experience the program offers. In line with the Danish version, the show will feature ‘remarkable individuals’ contributing significantly to humanity and culture, and the interviews will be conducted with only the interviewer and interviewee present, using remote-controlled cameras.
