Andel Warns Citizens of Scams Ahead of Payout
Andel, an energy and broadband company, is warning its customers about potential scams related to a forthcoming payout. Approximately 350,000 stakeholders are eligible to receive 2,500 DKK from the company’s 2022 profits. Andel’s press chief, Morten Kidal, mentioned that customers reported scam calls asking for personal identification numbers under the guise of representing Andel. The company does ask for customers’ numbers on its website to facilitate payments to their bank accounts but never via phone calls. So far, over 200,000 customers have registered for their payouts, which will be available until May 31, 2024. Kidal advises customers to be cautious and contact Andel directly if they suspect any fraudulent activities. The surplus funds are allocated to clients within the Cerius network’s area as of February 6, 2024.
