Danish Training Personnel Proposed for Ukraine
Christian Friis Bach, defense spokesperson for the Danish political party De Radikale, advocates for a discussion in Denmark on sending military training personnel to Ukraine, joining the conversation had by France, the UK, and Lithuania. Bach cites the more realistic training possibilities due to fewer restrictions in war zones, the practicality of keeping Ukrainian soldiers close to the front lines, and the use of Ukrainian equipment as reasons for this support. Despite potential safety concerns for Danish instructors, Bach believes Denmark should explore the possibility to strengthen Ukrainian defense and send a strong message of deterrence to Russia. The training’s specifics would be determined by the Danish Defense, and the proposal is expected to be debated within the alliance backing the Ukraine Fund.
