Minister highlights work-related deaths in Denmark
Employment Minister Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen has expressed her deepest condolences following a tragic work accident in Flemløse on Funen, where two people died and others were injured. The minister addressed the frequency of such fatal work incidents in Denmark on her Facebook page. Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident occurred in connection with work around a silo. Police worked overnight at the scene, the Flemløse Biogas facility, and mentioned challenging terrain. The Work Environment Authority is also involved in the investigation. Established in 2020, the biogas plant aimed to increase capacity since its inception. It produces gas from a mixture of manure, straw, seed grass trimmings, discarded vegetables, and corn, equivalent to heating 3,500 houses or driving 112 million kilometers.
