‘Bastarden’ was the highlight of the Bodil Awards, winning Best Film and recognition for Mads Mikkelsen as Best Male Lead for his portrayal of soldier Ludvig Kahlen. The committee praised the film for its heartfelt and visually stunning production. Rasmus Videbæk won Best Cinematographer for the film, with Jette Lehmann earning a prize for its scenography. Paprika Steen received the award for Best Female Lead in ‘Toves værelse,’ while Jessica Dinnage was honored as Best Supporting Actress for ‘Ustyrlig’, which also won Best Script. ‘Bastarden’ had previously succeeded at the Robert Awards as well.
