Israeli troops storm Gaza hospital, says Palestinian Red Crescent

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that Israeli soldiers stormed al-Amal hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, on Tuesday. The soldiers demanded the immediate evacuation of aid workers and displaced Palestinians. However, an Israeli military spokesperson denied these accusations to Reuters, stating there have been no threats or orders for people to leave under threat of arms. The Red Crescent claimed the incursion involved threats with weapons and gunfire. The organization reported serious danger to its teams and displaced individuals and noted earlier that tanks were firing around the hospital, which resulted in one woman’s death and nine injured from shrapnel. According to the Red Crescent, victims were displaced persons taking refuge at the hospital. Israeli forces have previously entered Gaza hospitals in search of Hamas militants. Additionally, the WHO reported that Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis is under pressure and surrounded by Israeli soldiers amidst fighting, being the largest operating hospital in Gaza.
