Danish PM supports Ukraine’s peace vision

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen endorses Ukraine’s peace plan, emphasizing that food security should never be used as a weapon of war. She carries this message to the peace summit in Switzerland, where Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyj also attends. Frederiksen sees Zelenskyj’s peace formula as the correct approach, aligning with international law. Food security, nuclear safety, and the issue of detainees and deported children are the main topics. Zelenskyj had outlined a peace plan in November 2022, demanding Russia’s full withdrawal from Ukraine. Russia refuses to negotiate with Zelenskyj and expressed disinterest in the Swiss summit. However, there are plans for another summit with hopes of Russian representation, said Andrij Yermak, head of Ukraine’s presidential office.
