Knife threats and beatings at Agedrup School
Agedrup School’s management is aware of several incidents involving knife threats, sexual harassment, and a student being kicked and beaten in 2023. Parents were informed, and authorities notified including police reports. Collaboration between school, social services, and police resulted in ten so called AVA concerns about criminal activity among four students, with active case management for each. Not detailed what they’re reported for, two students have four concerns each. Since the start of 2023, around 40 students have been reported to the child and family counseling, with 12 reports related to issues raised by parents. Over 100 parents signed a letter expressing concern about unaccptable behavior, including knife threats, drug and alcohol use, sexual violations, and beatings when a child turns 11 years old. The school board discussed these findings and potential actions at a special meeting.
