Crown Prince Christian to act as regent

Crown Prince Christian will serve as regent for the first time while his father, King Frederik X, is on a business trip to Poland. The royal household confirms that during the king’s absence, the prince will perform royal duties, such as affirming legislation. Christian assumed the role of heir apparent when his father ascended the throne on January 14, after being the eldest son of King Frederik X and Queen Mary. The Poland trip is King Frederik’s first foreign visit as monarch, scheduled from January 30 to February 2, focusing on energy efficiency and climate-friendly agriculture. Crown Prince Christian is currently a senior at Ordrup Gymnasium, with his future plans after graduation remaining undisclosed, though it is expected he might pursue military and civilian education.
