Murder suspect says he found Meng DNA tape outdoors
A 33-year-old man on trial claimed he found a roll of tape with Emilie Meng’s DNA in nature, speculating it was at a Borup rest stop. This tape matches DNA traces found on the murdered Emilie Meng, whose body was discovered in 2016. The suspect denies all accusations, stating he never met Emilie nor traveled to the area where her body was found. A piece of tape, similar to the one found in his home, was also found on Emilie’s body. He admits to some of the charges involving a 13-year-old girl but denies allegations concerning a 15-year-old girl. The court anticipates the verdict on June 28.
